Default Re: Picking up a nice used H1 2001 36,000

Hmm, I have 100k with the "Z" VIN code. No issues.

I would not tow with the H1 unless it was flat, since its GVW is 10,300 and my wagon is a tick under 8k already. The brakes are not really meant for stopping more than that. You can do it, but there are better options.

TT4/ABS, when operating properly, is good for about 95% of offroading, and great for on highway. Anything over a 4+ trail, lockers are the ticket. I've been on nearly every trail in Moab, save Pritchet Canyon, using just TT4, and it can be done just very difficult. Lockers made them easy.

Geared hubs seals need replacing at 20k intervals? Huh?

Brakes expensive? Huh?

Power steering box clamp? leaks? Huh?

Steering components, definately! Idler, pitman, even ball joints.
