Sportsdude, did you install different brakes?
I heard if you go 24", you need larger brakes?
I'm looking at 24" Dub Condo's, and am curious about the brake thing before investing $6000. I might just get the 22's if it's too much hastle.

Humm This, The tires were about $600 each. The whole set (rims and tires) was about $6500.00
HummBob, I haven't upgraded the system yet. I'm planning to go with Brembo GranTurismo 6 piston for front and 4 piston for rear in a few months.

Sportdude, Please bear with me as I don't know much, but do you have to replace the whole braking system, or just the rotors or calipers.
Also, if I put my OEM rims on for the winter, do I have to change the brakes back?

how bad is the ride
is it rougher?
what about braking?
is it livable or does it really need the upgrade?
im trying to decide on rim size 20 22 or 24s
love the look of 24s though

HummBob- No replacing of braking system is required. Going to a bigger size rims/tires probably decreased the stopping power but I haven't had the chance to do any type of measurement.
Redline201- Compared to OEM tire setup, the Perelli ATR ride is smooth and less road noise. I recently had the opportunity to test it out in the snow/water and it handles really well. My stock rims/tire will be use for off-roading. To be honest, I can't tell much of a difference with braking from the OEM tire/rim setup and the 24" (both requires driver's good judgement and denfensive driving). I'm upgrading the braking system to prevent brake fading and because I'm planning to supercharge my H2, in addition driving condition here is at a faster pace than in CONUS.

Gotcha. You found those 24's on ebay. I was lost looking for a picture of these 24's.
Hey sportsdude, why get A/t's? That thing needs regular old street tires. It'll never see more than a gravel road.

Redline201-sorry no additional pics yet. As soon as I get time after deployment preparations, I'll take some. It's probably will be too long of a wait though.
KenP-Shipping cost was quite a bit and you are probably right with just gravel at present. It might end up in a driveway for a year until I get back. Happy Holidays!

you wont need bigger brakes if you put bigger rims. if you put bigger overall size then your brakin will be effected. i think anything but the 06 has small rotors and i would change them no matter what. i have a 06 sut and they work like a champ.

No modification required and no rubbing. A Big Brake package would be nice if ou have the funds to do it.

Good work sports dude!,
Like the color too...
Deployments are always hard on everyone. How's P.H. these days? I cant help to notice the Plates, German style... I like the change. I started out with the Bright Green ones....
