Default MP3 problem in 07 H2 Nav unit

Ok, so I burn a bunch of MP3s onto a cd-r disk. No file folders, and burned with nu UDF or other settings. About 150 songs per CD. Tried 3 different ones.

Plays fine in our 06 Corvette, but will not play in the 2007 H2. On the in-dash unit (did not try on headrest DVD units which some H2's like ours have).

Something really bizarre happens when I load the CD.

The Bose screen starts flashing the bose logo, and then turns black. Then orange colored chinese writing comes up on the screen, and just below the chinese writing, the same in english. Says various things like "check CD" and similar stuff. The radio/Nav/CD unit can not then be shut off, unless the key is removed and door opened.

What a mess. Help please! What is wrong with this thing?

Anyone else see this mess on their units.

That's because HUMMER's radio can't read straight MP3s...one upgraded radio in the H3 could, but it was extremely rare to be built that way.

Like mentioned above no MP3 capability on the 07 and older H2's..... not sure if the 08 or newer models can with the new head units.

The big news w/ the new head unit was the aux input -- but the cd player still doesn't read MP3s

Any idea of the '09 NAV unit can be purchased/installed in an '05? I bought the kenmore NAV to replace my '05 factory NAV and the kenmore is a POS (along with the nightmare from the A/V speciality place rushing and screwing up the install - which I could write about for a week).
