Hi All,
I was just told by a friend working at a fuel distributor that gas prices will be increasing $.25 by 7pm tonight 8/31. This was reafirmed by another source, so if you need gas, get it now. Currenty up in Ithaca, NY gas is 2.78 but just north of us in Syracuse where its usually cheaper, it is 3.17. Just figure i would give you a heads up if you havnent heard. Thank you Katrina

BP is a true "GOUGER" and ought to be taken to it's knees for doing so.

Here in NE they warned of a 10-15 cent hike next week...we got 50 cents plus the same day from BP. I will stop buying gas from them, and I hope everyone else stops as well. BP....what does that stand for....Big Pricks?

Very cool. I might PM you if you don't mind to learn more about your group of businesses. I am involved in the oil industry from the sidelines and we are talking about designing a new well monitoring system at my day job company. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

TBDAugs: I would like to learn about your group of businesses also.

HummerNewbie: Please fill me in on your well monitoring system aswell. If you are planning this you will probably know that there is/was supposed to be a convention at the end of october for petroleum equipment. The company I work for has been involved in the petroleum industry since the '20's and I would be really interested in your project.

PM me.

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">So I'll be the first to admit that I know NOTHING about oil production, but wasn't the gas that we put in our vehicles today refined weeks if not MONTHS ago?

And why is gas 6 bucks a gallon in Atlanta? Are the retailers blaming Katrina?

And if a barrel of crude is up from 55-60 to 70 that is about a what 20% increase? So how it is that fuel prices @ the pump go up MUCH MUCH more than that?

General economic trends are showing that things are pretty strong from what I've read in Forbes, and Business Week. That being said, I think the one potential derailing factor could be oil prices.....Since EVERYTHING is dependant upon fuel it would really cause some heartache. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

It is called getting raped at the pump all over including Atlanta.

Hey Dan - don't know what I did to piss you off, but I'll match you IQ point for IQ point any day of the week. If one is truly known by the company one keeps, I need to assume you are a moron as well. Too bad, I kinda found you amusing before this.

Try $6 at a BP in Atlanta.

Generally, gas is $3.49 - 3.99 /gal for premium.

I wouldn't go as far as saying BP is a gouger but rather the person that owns that particular station. If BP does not own that station but they have given the right to the owner to use there sign then I bet BP will take care of that person or persons.

I filled up yesterday @ $2.67 per gallon. Today the same station was at $3.19.
