Mike Sabaresse of the Hummer National Race Team told me that the hydraulic winches are great for the H1, but the power steering pump on the H2 isn't as beefy, so better to go electric. Yes, the powersteering pumps on the H2 are better off left alone. I have already replaced mine! So I couldn't imagine running anything else that would cause extra strain.
