Post Bi-Fuel conversion

Have anyone seen/heard Hummer H2´s with compressed natural gas conversion
in the US. I´m looking for a CNG conversion kits ? I know couple of local shops here that can do the conversion, but they have overpriced the conversion Price is up to 10 000 dollars... and I know the real price should be about half of that!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compressed_natural_gas
Here in europe we have many hummers running with CNG conversion.
its price is in a range of 1/4 compared to normal gasoline in here!!
It works fine, only little performance loss but nothing critical and fuel consumption is same as with gasoline. And it uses both types of fuel so it will have a very good range too. It´s also less polluting.

Default Re: Bi-Fuel conversion

I have a GPL or LPG installed....here the gasoline is 1,3 euro/lt and the gpl half.
The tank inside have the same space of the spare tire.
But I have some friend that have the tire outside.
About performance with a 6.0 and more hp you dont see any difference.
I use also for offroad.
Do it!!!

Post Re: Bi-Fuel conversion

Who did your conversion ? Geigercars ?
Geigercars kit is LNG (liquefied natural gas) conversion so it is in liquefied form compared to the compressed form of the CNG. CNG has a lower cost of production and storage compared to LNG conversion. Im looking for a CNG conversion, because in Finland LNG conversions are illegal...

Thanks for your reply

Here we use or "metano" that is Natural gas lquified at high pressure and GPL or LPG that is Propano and Butano compressed but at low pressure than Metano..
Accept italian translation and find what i mean.

Every system is legal in Italy and the state give you money ..about 1200 euro for conversion or if you trash a old euro 1 or 2 and buy a bifuel car
