Default 05 STARTS THEN DIES, THEN WONT START, ETC.

Initially was told to change out fuel pump. After installing I started it and it ran fine for 20 mins or so the just quit? I lowered tank and removed pump thinking somehow I purchased a faulty unit. After removing I noticed what seemed to be a loose connection on the pump I decided to put pump back in. This time I left the tank on the ground and hooked everything back up. I started and it idled fine for about a half hour. Just when I was conviced all is well... it died. I tried starting it for 5 mins and nothing...it just cranks with no start. Woke up this morning turned the key and started right up ..... WTH is going on??????

Did you recently wash the motor or gone 4 wheeling? If the TPS sensor gets wet it could do this.

OK - got it fixed. Replaced the crankshaft position sensor. Code reader picked it up even though no trouble light on dash. $45 at local Auto Zone and 30 mins worth of work. Runs Great! Good idea to read codes even though engine light is not on!
