Default H2 loses power going uphill????

My 2004 Hummer H2 is losing power when going uphill at higher speeds, i.e. on the interstate. At the same time the temp gauge bumps up and down. Any help????

These are very heavy vehicles and don't blast up hills, especially in the mountains. I've been known to have my foot to the floor going uphill on I70 in the Dillon, CO area MANY times. The H2 does better in the mountains uphill than my H3 did though.

I agree with Jim, these are heavy trucks and you should not be surprised to loose signficant speed going up hill even on the Interstate. Unless you pre-plan and get into the accelerator prior to loosing speed which is usually what I do. Your description of loosing power really doesn't make sense so try to explain it in a different manner.
