Default 2004 H2 Won't start

3 months ago while i was still under warranty i got in my truck turned the key and other than my seat moving into place, my stereo coming on, NOTHING i assumed it was my aftermarket alarm that i had installed two months prior so i called my alarm guy. He checked it out while still dead and verified that he was not to blame so i called a tow truck to take it in. While i was waiting i tried it one more time and it started!!!. I assumed it was something that the alarm guy acctually did and the problem was resolved. My warrany expired and a month ago it happened again. Again i called a tow truck to take it in and again i tried it while i was waiting and again it started. This has now happened 4 times and is frustrating because i need it broken to take to the mechanic. I called my local Canadian Hummer dealership and told him my situation and he suggested i bring it in, let them drive it for awile until it goes down again and they could fix it. "Not under warranty". Has anyone had this problem????? I have allready tried putting the transmission in N and holding to the left as someone else reccomended.

Thanks in advance

Peter

this happened to me. if the battery goes dead, your alarm will set and will not let the vehicle turn over. It's like a safety feature. I called onstar from my cell and they can reset the vehicle once your battery is juiced up

yes it is a Compustar with auto start. My alarm guy unplugged the wiring harness from the alarm brain while the vehicle was down and it would still not start. He said that this procedure would take the alarm out of the list of possible problems.

Peter, did you take it to the dealer and have them run the diagnostics? The whole dead truck thing happened to my Pewter 2003 H2 and the dealer ended up fixing it...somethng to do with the battery. This never happened to any of our other 3 Hummers so I assume it's not a common problem.
