This is the third time the airbag light has gone on since December. They replace the tip sensor and it doesn't clear the code. They end up replacing the SDM module which fixes it for a few weeks or the next time I go off road. It usually takes the better part of a week to get it done. Last time it was 2 weeks. I understand new vehicles are prone to some problems, but the same problem everytime? Don't get me wrong, I love my truck. I just don't want to be leaving it at the dealer for a week out of every month. I have called HUMMER customer service and opened the 3rd file on this problem. I thought about the lemon law, but I really like my truck. If I get another one, will I have the same problem? Should I get an H2? What to do??

To be honest, I have not heard or read about an air bag problem on the H3. Usually, when a symptom keeps occurring, it is usually the dealer/tech who is not repairing the problem correctly.
Do you know what codes are being retained?

No, I do not. I am bringing it in to the dealer tomorrow morning. They also advised me they took the HUMMER off the loaner list due to the amount of damage that has been done to them. I will be getting a Cadillac DTS loaner instead of a H3.

hey yellow, which dealership do you take it to? Kachina has treated me pretty good....thay picked my h3 up and left me a cadi and then brought my H3 back to my work the next day. I worked it threw my sales guy because the ******* in service was given me a bull**** time... but anyway he told me not to deal with the service people again just to call him!
