Default Brakes

I finally pulled the trigger and bought new brakes. After hours of searching and seeing what everyone else was doing i decided on EBC Greenstuff 6000s for the rear 7000s for the front with EBC dimpled and slotted rotors all around and the full 6 line crown braided lines.

I just have a few questions that i really didn't find any answers for. I'm flushing the entire brake system and was wondering how much fluid the system takes? I was also wondering what type of fluid to go with? I would like something with a higher boiling point. I remember someone metioning Motul RBF600. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks in advance.

How much was your entire cost on the brake rotors , braided lines and pads ? Also what brand are the rotors and lines and where did you buy them. I don't need brakes but I was considering doing a set up like yours for looks and extra stopping power. Cool set up by the way.

Thanks. The whole setup was alittle under $700. The Rotors are EBCs and so are the pads. I got the pads and rotors from autopartswarehouse.com. Great service.

If you order from them s/h is free. Do a search on google for coupon codes and you can save $40 if you split the order into 2 seperate orders.

Jdrew is selling a set of 7000 seriespads for like $150 shipped great deal here is the link: http://www.elcovaforums.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=35614

Front Rotor #:GD7094
Front Pads #: DP71305
Rear Rotors#: GD7210
Rear Pads#: DP61304

The lines are crown. I got them from trailduty don't have the part number for that. Just call them up and let them know you want all 6 lines and they'll send them out.

I did not search OR research (easy way out I guess).... I do not need brakes at this time either ..... I am just curious as to why the 6000 series and 7000 series???? I have thought about changing for better braking as well...... Are you going to paint your calipers? If so, what kind of paint are you going to use?

I got the 7000 series for the front and 6000 series for the rear because the front does most of the braking and figured the extra money for the 7000 series for the rear would be over kill. I bought duplicolor caliper spray paint from pepboys it was like $7 for the can which was more then enough for the calipers. Dried really quick too. Hugh difference on the breaking on the truck. Well worth the money.
