Swing Arm Tire Mount
Not sure how much to ask for this, but the outside tire mount has become too cumbersome...so thought I would sell it ...I keep the tire of course, but I have two big dogs and it is becoming a pain in the butt to handle...
Any interest?

Re: Swing Arm Tire Mount
How much are you wanting for it? Want an inside mount?

Re: Swing Arm Tire Mount
No to the inside mount...I have centerline wheels and reality is I would call road side assistance anyway...
How much are the swing arms going for? I have seen them range on here but can't recall..I know what they go for new...Are you local?

Re: Swing Arm Tire Mount
No I am in NC and not really sure if I want one or not but I thought I'd entertain the idea. I have custom wheels too and it may be a pain to find a matching spare for outside.
Let me know when you have a price you want for it.
Thanks,
Tim

Re: Swing Arm Tire Mount
Hey Tim...All I can find for a price new is $614.95...if I sold it you for half minus the tire is that good? If you really don't need it..it might be too much...give it a thought and let me know...Kym

Can you elaborate? I was considering getting a swing tire carrier and also have a dog, why is it too cumbersome?

Re: Swing Arm Tire Mount
It is too much trouble to keep swinging open all the time I want in the back...I need a ramp for my big old dog and she is hard to handle while I work the thing open...plus I don't want the weight anymore...CA gas prices suck and the damn thing is heavy...Got the pic now?

Re: Swing Arm Tire Mount
I dont want to hijack this thread as you're trying to sell your outside carrier, but what type of ramp are you looking at getting for your H2? I have a rather large Rotty, and he's getting old and i need a ramp as well. Is there any particular ramp you're looking into?

Re: Swing Arm Tire Mount
no hijacking...actually JP Wholesale Pets ( which you can find on-line) has a few different ones...a large ramp, rather cumbersom looking for $100+ and then a smaller one for $50+..and then there is a "help along" cloth thing, to help lift them into the vehicle...it is reasonably priced...not sure it would work for me...my girl is an Akita mix and was abused when I rescued her at 12 weeks, the prior owners had beaten the hocks out of her knees, so she has lost the ablity to bend and jump..and because she can't run much and play she cannot keep the weight down..she is 125 lbs, and I cannot lift her, so the ramp is all I can think of...My H2 is lifted, so that makes is worse...I really need to sell the swing arm to afford the ramp and now do the damn vet testing for both my dogs with teh contaminated pet food.....there used to be alot of requests for this thing when I wanted to keep it, now that I am needing to sell it, no one wants it..go figure...If you need more pet info, I would be happy to help.. )

Re: Swing Arm Tire Mount
I am looking for a good quality carrier and a reasonable price, but want to check it out before I purchase it. OC is a very long way to Sacramento.
Try Craigslist.

Re: Swing Arm Tire Mount
Why would I try Craigslist? For what? Things can still be shipped...we ship tires and rims...good luck..

Re: Swing Arm Tire Mount
You will have to do a check on the shipping from 95828...If you want to prepay, it weighs about 55lbs and I can deliver it to which ever place you choose, fedex, ups, DHL or ....but I have to defer the shipping of this to the buyer completely...I will bubble for you and have the tire removed.....The last really large item I sent, the buyer paid for the shipping and a lable was emailed to me...that worked out well, I delivered the item, they labled it and it was insured by the buyer etc..Hope this works for you...it is really easy and it protects your item...
Thanks..Kaz

Re: Swing Away Spare Tire Carrier
So as not to cause confusion...Here is what the link to what this looks like...
HUMMER H2 SWING AWAY SPARE TIRE CARRIER
http://www.premierhummer.com/hummer_...e_carrier.html
Even the same color...I am asking $300 but would go down to $275.00 plus paypal fees...but the shipping is on you....I will handle taking it your shipper of choice but I won't pay for shipping...This is fair...Hope this helps ...Kym

Re: Swing Arm Tire Mount
You can't get that from Tommy at HUMMER of Sac? I think he has a couple of take-offs he might sell cheap?
