What does everyone think the average life of your brakes are(liners and rotors)? The dealership tells me 100k. Is that right?

I've seen a couple trucks come in with over 100k that still didn't need them. I've only done one brake job on an H2, and that was because the guy had overheated the brakes big time and his rotors were cracking. How am I suppossed to make any money when GM builds things that don't wear out. Oh yeah, I can replace mirrors and fix noisy windshield moldings all day long. whew, got scared for a minuite.

I must say that I am impressed with the H2's breaking and amount of brake dust. There is minimal break dust on my rims, and they are not difficult to clean.
If they have similar brakes that my Chevy 2500 HD had, they will last approx 100k miles. I sold the truck at 88K miles and they still had pleny of pad left. GM made big improvements in brake pad like starting about 1999.

I got mine checked last weekend cause I thought at 63000 miles I would need to change pads. Wrong! Still plenty of brake pad left. When I had a suburban(1999) I needed brakes every 15000 miles, which really sucked.
