37" tire width
 

I have seen many posts on the use of 37" tires on a stock ride height H2. I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck with the 37's in a 15" width. I want an aggressive tire with more width than the 12.5's. I realize that there may be some rubbing issues at full turn, been there and done that in my younger days with lifted trucks, but how about clearance for daily driving? I would rather not mess with the suspension if I can avoid it. If anyone has done this do you have any pics to share of possibly wheel offset specs? Thanks

Too wide and way too much traction. Even the guys with 13.5+ tires are breaking stuff because of the excessive contact.

Love the look, but I'd say 15" too wide. I have 37"x13.5" x 22"and have no problem with them except with some minor rubbing on a full turn. Front TK had to be adjusted to accommodate the size, but still no problems. BRUTE

no way in hell are you gonna fit 15 on stock suspen.

Our's has 12.5 inch wide and while parking in lock to lock they will rub.
I cannot imagine if 15 inch without a lot of back spacing or hubs
would even be acceptable.

Here is a 37 inch, 15.5 width on one of my rigs (does have a 6 inch lift though!) back spacing is 4.5.

Thanks for the info, only one of the posts had me wondering about the 15" width having too much bite. I used to run 38x15's on my half ton pickups, of course with a lift, and never had any trouble with too much traction let alone breaking anything, just some rubbing at a full turn. Don't want to have to climb into the H2 to get in it, just want to fill up the wheelwells some and set it apart from everyone elses. Looks like the 37x13.5's will do. Is cranking the torsion bars a good idea to get a couple of inches? I want to keep the drivability and not tear anything up. No intention of doing any serious offroading. I ran a 35x13.50 (specs out at 13.9) and they were a nice blocky wide tire that gave my truck a really nice wide stance. Im not running a Kumho 37x13.50(specs out at a measly 12.50) and they do not give near the stance so i know what you mean. I broke idler and pitman arms wheeling with the wide tires but im not so sure it wouldnt happen with stockers. The stress you put on your front end depends greatly on if you wheel the truck.
