More baffled now,as the rear wash works and can hear the pump working. But nothing when i operate the front screen wash.Strange as all fuses and relays for both operate the same pump.Any ideas??

Re: Another problem. Windshield washers
Just read all those threads. But there was nothing in there relating to the washers not working. I will pull the panel off tomorrow and open up the module and have a look at it.

Re: Another problem. Windshield washers
hi check the front washer switch and make sure its sending the signal because the pump is working for the rear.

Re: Another problem. Windshield washers
Hi Tracy. Whereabouts is the front washer switch located?

Re: Another problem. Windshield washers
Hi its the one that operates the washer, below is for a 2008 hummer i think your truck is the same.
When the windshield Wash switch is pressed, ground is applied through the switch contacts and the windshield washer switch signal circuit to the body control module (BCM) indicating the windshield wash request. The BCM then energizes the WPR relay, as stated above, and the front wash relay by applying ground through the control circuit to the coil side of the relay. With the wash relay energized, battery voltage from the WPR fuse is applied through the switch side of the relay and out to the control circuit of the windshield washer fluid pump. The washer pump is grounded through the de-energized rear wash relay. The wiper motor will operate for 2 wipe cycles after the wash switch is released. |

Find the problem ?

Re: Another problem. Windshield washers
Nope!Looked for two hours at all probable causes. But we more than likely to suspect the problem is with the column stalk itself. There is no signal coming from the stalk to the pump.
For now we have switched the pump side of things from the rear to the front. So to operate the front washers i press the rear wash wipe. |
Re: Another problem. Windshield washers
Just read through the service manual about the washers and sure as crap that could be the problem :-(
Good Luck, Ed Quote:
