Re: removing side view mirror glass
I did the research on the forum...with not much to go on, I performed the previous mentioned task, most delicately as to not break anything...well I ended up separating the knuckle piece from the mirror assy and motor assy and also one of the plastic drive arms broke off. This was the second attempt, my first attempt on the driver side was successful by prying outward on the bottom middle of the glass.
Long story short, beware of how you proceed with the removal. These parts that have been broken cannot be purchased...according to the dealer, they are part of the motor and I have to fork out money for another mirror assembly because of idle hands.
