Default Somewhere in SC, there is a Dodge crew cab....

sulking...

Tonight, we drove to SC to see my wife's family. On the way back, a late model Dodge dually, quad cab with big dual smoke stacks and a lift kit from hell pulls up beside me.

He drives beside me for about a .5 mile playing with his gas pedal. He has a set of air horns and along the way he hits his horn as he would speed off.

He did this about 4 times until it was getting annoying.

He pulls up besides me again and punches it... fuk it, he's about a truck length in front of me and I floor it.

Not only do I catch him, I pull him in a matter of car lengths. I actually surprised myself.

I think this caught him off guard so he tries again. Again, I let him get a car length in front of me before I punch it and I nail it. Again, I blow past him and put some major distance between him and I.

The third time he pulls beside me and we punch it at the same time.... I dust him and decide I'm done.... I slow down and allow him to get beside me. A couple of guys roll down their windows and stick their heads outside to hear the diesel. (I guess they must have seen the black smoke??)

As they are beside me, I now hit my train horns... it scares the guy so bad, he jerks his truck to the left before he realizes what it was.

They all laughed, gave me a thumbs up and sped away.

Now that's a first....

Mark

EDIT: Ohhhh, and btw, I drove almost 300 miles at the speed you see on the speedometer (had the cruise control on) and this was my average mileage.

Mark, your cluster looks like a wet dream ! I could only wish for that gas mileage and especially speed and power. Your patience certainly paid off.

The mileage was a bonus,... if I would drive a normal speed or use the economy tune, I could probably pull better mileage but even around time, I'm averaging 18-19'ish mpg. (except when it's cold and I keep leaving the truck outside running... then I'm getting 13-15...lol. Can't leave it running for 25-30 minutes)

Definitely worth the wait.

It was all in fun but the look on the guy's face was priceless. It was that "wtf just happened here?" kind of look...
