got to agree with Dennis and detonate. philD walked over obstacles or make them look way too easy while we were in Moab. While the stocker h2's were tiptoeing worrying about some little rock jetting out, phil just drove over the darn thing. From the pics that Drty posted of the Rubicon trail there really is no comparison with anything we did in Moab so perhaps he is correct with his concerns about side slope but I believe having an extra 4 inches of body lift wouldn't hurt and may have allowed for a different line to be taken.

Drty, 4 extra inches would have put that rock dent in your lower rear door at or below your rock rails

Case in point on Golden Spike where you guys went over that big crack. Just about all of you hit or drug your rear bumpers coming up out of the crack. An extra 4 inches of body lift would have prevented shearing off some your bumper.

With the width of the H2 you guys are worried about a 4" lift????

Anyways with a lift, as Detonate put it, you can add bigger tires(don't know about the affects to the tie-rods) adding a little more width thus cancelling(well improving) the "Wholly **** I going over!" factor.
It would be a factor for guys who load up their Gobi's or the spare tire on top(or 2).

BTW like most companies, GM techs probably know the true "Tipping Threashhold" for the H2 and it ain't 40 deg. My guess more like 50-55. Dan was bang on. Range Rovers are at 40 also, go figure.

4" lift? That's nothing to break a sweat over with the width of our monsters.

4" of extra clearance? Hell I can leave my steps on! </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
