You have asked the exact question that I have been asking!!!!!!

so, what is the answer? It sounds like the Pioneer has some real problems - can't change nav system while driving, can't watch DVD while driving

It appears that the Eclipse 5495 is the answer. . .price really isn't an issue, I want the best system that gives me Nav and DVD capability.

What do you think?

I'm trying to figure out what is the best navigation system for my H3. I have pretty much narrowed it down to the Eclipse (AVN 5435 or 5495) or the Pioneer (AVIC-N2 or D1).

Does anyone have any experience with these (or other units as good or better) or can you point me to some reviews of them?

Most important to me is how well the navigation system actually works. Of course I will have to replace my stock unit (6-disc changer) so the sound quality has to be good as well. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
