Lots of things to consider... driver's experience in those conditions, with that vehicle, which tires your running, type of ice, temp outside, anything on the ice, etc...

Don't run cruise control when it is icy. You will need to be able to coast if possible. Simply tapping the breaks out of reflex to disengage the cruise control may bcause you to lose control. That goess for just about any vehicle.

BGF T/A's are a good tire for all around - they are not very good on ice though. There are others which will easily out preform them in this area.
