You are 1/2-right....the TC did sense the slippage and suddenly sent the juice/torque to the other wheel. The real problem was that the wheel was jjjjjjjjjust ppppperfectly perched that it had traction only on its outside tread.

You see...the tire is so darn wide that traction on the outside (excluding the middle and inner area) leads to actually push/rotate the tire inwards.....that extreme push inwards thrust is what did it in.

Honestly...Alec is a great driver (I'd almost let him drive my ride)...it was just a fluke thing that his tire was pivoted against that rock as such to drive it inwards like that.

We already have E-lockers on our rear. There are some after-markets supposedly available for our fronts, but I don't know of anyone having done it yet. Also...we can't disable our TC systems.

We walk a fine line between using momentum and trying to keep our speed.....yet not hammering the power too much. In a 3-ton+ rig and a very isolated cabin...it isn't easy!

I know poor Alec is agonizing over both the mistake that day on the trail and the unintentional release of his screw-up....which has spread like wild-fire and circulated over the entire globe...only to bring a fierce and deliberate ridicule to our precious H2's....

I fully expect to see that piece as an unknown author entry for America's funniest home videos.
