Cross Bar removal (for the 100th time)

Thanks Hum2. I know exactly what you're talking about! I drilled through the firewall since piercing the big black grommet thing looked too problematic and difficult to get a ton of wires through.

I've basically rebuilt my wiring harness from scratch. All wires are redone in 16 gauge. All are wrapped in tape then wrapped in that plastic flexy tubing stuff. All connectors are "heat shrink tubing'ed." I even put connectors @ the driver side roof line incase I ever need to take off the rack, I can disconnect the lights there.

I didn't like the light mounts (and screws since they were standard head and I would rather use a hex head or allen head on stuff like that) so I redid the mounts and drilled holes into the light mount platform. Personally I think that is what Gobi should do instead of providing those little squaure mounting things.

I've got the pillars and part of the dash torn all to hell so I can fish wires down to the firewall.

I took out the drivers side hood support panel and removed the fuse box cover so I could get more working space and room to mount the relays to the drivers side fender.

I did a "dry" run on one of the lights today. Lit up nice and purty.....

Lastly I couldn't find a fuse tap to save my soul so I tapped into one of lighting wires and that way my new driving lights (set on auto) will shot off automatically.

I should have everything done tomorrow, assuming I find a rubber grommet for the firewall hole.

Most folks would have this done in 4 hours. I'm taking my time, going to the Home Depot and the auto parts store EVERYDAY, and digging it. It's been very fun.
