Interesting site on how to tap into your onstar unit. http://members.cox.net/onstar/

After reading the forms on that site it seems that the newer Onstar boxes(Gen. 5) cannot be tapped into and I am pretty sure that is what is used in our trucks.

Why would you want to?

It's really a lot more trouble than it's worth...

As a matter of fact, in my latest project, it may be necessary to uninstall Onstar.

Stay tuned...

Hey Klaus: Let me know about this project via e-mail. (Hum2@cox.net) I'm, interested in removing OnStar for sure...unless they take my suggestion of allowing it's use on an as-needed basis(ie. pay $20 to unlock your doors), otherwise it is just taking up space.
