Be happy...I only get 12mpg in my 1992 4Runner v6 3.0L engine w/31" tires.
With my scrawny gas tank, I am lucky if I get 200 miles or so in town, and 230 in highway driving before I REALLY have to start looking for fuel.
Manufacturers always inflate the MPG, and do so under lab/test conditions, not real-world driving. The only reason the manual was offered, IMO, was so they could hit the Magic 20 MPG mark. Auto transmissions never get as much mileage per gallon as a stick.
