Gobi rack -- XM/GPS antenna -- need advice

Thanks for the comments. Here's what I can add to the data base:

For the 3 months I had the H2 before installing the Gobi Rack, XM reception was perfect everywhere -- -- it never faded; not once, not ever. Now, it goes "in and out" regularly. Sometimes, it goes totally dead. This takes place on roads where it was formerly perfect. Also, it always cuts out in the same places on the various roads near my home.

Tim: I'm not visualizing your description of moving the XM antenna base back and forth. How did you do it?
