This is a follow-up to Det's thread posted here. All of these pictures and vids are from a trip this weekend out to Barnwell Mountain Recreation Area. I can't say enough great things about the place. I highly suggest it for some off road entertainment that would be OK for beginners as well as pros.

Here is a short video of Jennifer sliding down a short steep slope. I followed followed close behind. (Right click the links and select "Save Target As.." to store the video on your hard drive.) You can see from these two short videos that everything is VERY SLICK. The ground at Barnwell is primarily red clay and is like axle grease when wet and we had just had three days of rain.

The rain certainly did not dampen our spirits though.... Here are several more shots from the trip.

A few of us talking smack and figuring out where we want to go after lunch.

Jennifer on the last leg of going down Jeep Eater. You can see by Det’s pics that it was pretty harsh and steep descent.

Travis driving Jen’s H2 through Clyde’s Ravine.

Travis in Jen’s H2 again in Clyde’s Ravine.

Funny how a really big obstacle looks so small with a Hummer in the middle of it. J

From the other side. That is my 21 month old daughter in the window, and Travis in the ditch shooting a picture.

HEY! That’s not a hummer! Actually it is what is left of a Jeep Cherokee. Wonder how much those tires cost?

This picture of Travis driving Sam’s lifted H2 up Jeep Eater will give you some perspective of just how steep it really is.

We are coming back next year and putting decoration on that pine tree and making Christmas cards. No, we are not going to tell you the trail, you will have to find it yourself.
