Here's the location of the sensors circled in yellow. The center sensor was mounted underneath the rear hitch. The kit comes with brackets, 3M double-sided tape and shims. The sensors on the sides have to be shimed to angle slightly downwards. The H2 is so high that it may not catch the bumpers of other cars unless it's angled downwards a bit. The hitch was low enough that I can just angle the center sensor perpendicular to the hitch.

Like I said, once you have this device, I don't know how I did w/o it. Actually, I didn't. Before the sensor, when I thought I was REALLY close to the car behind me, I had like 4' to spare. With the sensor, I can get as close as 2' w/o any worries.

With the tire carrier, don't forget to subtract 1 foot from what the computer tells you. (i.e., 3 feet actually means 2 feet since the tire sticks out about a foot. For those w/o carrier, the distance should be true.
