cmb,
Patriot makes a good point - maybe the CD you are playing is not encoded with the track information to display.
Try finding a newer CD from your collection and play it in a stereo CD player you know is capable of displaying the information - then try the same CD in your H2 system.
Thanks for all of the testing and information.
Looking forward to the pictures you mentioned.

You can use CD Creator, and probably most any other Audio CD Burning software to create your own CD that has encoded CD Text.

My questions is I thought the 2004 Nav system did not include XM function? I see it on the screen but did not know it was capable of using XM? Any help would be appreciated. Also lets say I have one of these units not hooked up new in box is there special wiring for the Navigational part to work? or can it be used just radio, CD and XM?
Thanks

Fever: Pretty easy to install. No special tools or knowledge required. If you want to know more let me know and I will write out how to take it all apart.

cmb31078,
Do all 12 discs of the CD changer get read?
I heard that only the first 6 will work since the interface is only built for a 6 disc changer just like the Escalades.
Also, where did you mount the XM module?
Do you have pics of where you mounted it?

SoCalH2,
Mine reads all 12 discs and it says disc 12, 11, 10 etc. I am sure you get the idea. As for mounting the Xm I am getting it for christmas. I am going to put it under the rear seat opposite side of the cd changer. Hope this helps some.
