yeah I know this...and you are right, the dealer has to re-program my new head on sat 35 bucks. I installed it all they have to do is hook up their computer and set it so my H3 recognizes it. after I removed my old one and then re-installed it it worked so you can remove your stock head and put it back in no problem, must have a stored code in it My H3 sees.

I put the old head back in so I didnt have to be w/o tunes all week. I will get mre setailed infor on how they re-program it on sat.

My plan it to drive to the dealer and swap heads out in the lot, then drop it off.
My onstar cant get to the onstart headquarters either, this is the reason I was bringing it in to start with. I try to connect and I have the green light flashing on the rear view mirror but times out and dumps me off. The emergency button wont get through either...aparently the tech over the phone says it works on a totally different netwrok then the regular onstar service...truck needs to be checked out.
