JL audio has come out with a new Stelthbox for the H2. I have attached the link to where you can see it. (That's my H2 in the picture; it was the prototype for the new box).

Looks good but what if you do not have the spare on the inside. Will it still stay in the mounting area?

AngUPS, Couple questions for ya since they used your H2 for the prototype you might have the "inside scoop". Any plans of them making one for both sides? Will there be a chance of just buying the "housing"? Is it ported or seal? What is the inside cubic foot?
I have a dual 12" sealed box setting in the back and would like to get the space back that it takes up. I have been looking for coustom set up all over the internet for the H2 and so far have only seen the one that goes under the rear seat and it only holds two 10" subs.
Thanks

What kind of amp do you have to power these subs, and did it cost alot to hook up from the stock system?
I've been told that the parts alone would be around $175, just because it is a bose system and you don't want to cut any wires or confuse the bose setup.
Thanks,
Ric-H2

Easy,
I do not think one will be made for the other side, but believe me when I say one will be more than enough. JL Audio only sells to installers that sell their product; you would have to check with them as to the availability of the housing by itself. As to your other two questions you will have to also check with an installer. The JL site has a search for them by zip code. It sounds great and I am very happy with the results.

Ric-H2,
I have a JL Audio 500-1 amp installed. The installation was done at a local shop and cost $125. They ran it directly into the Bose sub so I now have both working at the same time.

I have been trying to come up with a way to put speakers in mine. I currently have 2 solobaric 10's (can't remember which but they were top of the line a year ago) and a 1,000 watt kicker amp.
I like that idea for not taking up any space in the rear however I see it holds a 12 inch sub so that kind of kills me. That actually gives me an idea to build my own boxes for there. Project time!

I wouldn't need an installer because I already have a sub installed. All I have to do is switch the wires. I will contact them but if you have any insiders over there that could hook me up let me know!
Thanks!

AngUPS,
Looks good. A few questions... What type of modifications to the spare tire carrier had to be made? Are there any vibrations or rattles with it mounted behind the spare? Do you have any photos other than the ones from the JL site? I like the idea of you keeping the Bose sub as well. I had an enclosure in the back with a 12" sub, while taking out the Bose sub... it didn't seem to have enough bass in the front with it missing.
Thanks,
Judson
