I'd love to do an upgrade with headers and exhaust with good performance and great sound, but would like to maintain a somewhat quit ride on the highway. Is this combination possible?

Look into the Corsa Touring cat back system if a quiet ride in the cab is of concern.
Look at either the JBA shorty headers or Edelbrock. Someone else will come up with a couple of other options as well I am certain.
Good luck let us know what you decide on

Most any of the big names will be a good header although some have not made positive comments on Borla. I'm running Dynatech long neck headers and flowmaster dual exhaust. I have the 40 series muffler sounds great.
What ever You choose I would recommend long neck as they will help low end response more than short headers. I should say that is My experience but some of our other buds here my shed more light on that. Getting these big heavy babies rolling from stop is the hard part of having good performance with all the different mods You can do. My 05 since I put long headers on will jump out on takeoff from dead stop way better than it did before. I'm happy but I think most will be good systems. BTW My headers are stainless steel. Seem to run cool and look good.
Good Luck

I've installed ceramic Bassani long headers (both sides same length) with the Bassani stainless steel cat-bat system. If you're ever is Socal stop by for a listen. It sounds great, I got about 1.5MPG increase in mileage and a slight power increase. I planned to install the Magna Charger, but they wouldn't warrenty it with the headers. ( www.bassani.com)
