Okay, so my previous 3 cars were all sporty vehicles and I have a quick question about the tires on the H3. I don't have the adventure package, but have the lux. I was washing the H3 the other day and when I put on some stuff for the tires, I noticed that two of them had an inward "buckle" on the tire wall. Is this normal? I don't know if it's a weight thing or not, but the last 3 cars I had never had something like this. I checked the pressure, and it was good. Just thought I'd ask.
Thanks!

Yes this is normal, it is just where the belts are joined together. It seems to only be noticeable on large truck tires, though not always. When I used to work at a tire store, there was a customer who wanted all of his tires replaced because of the same "buckle". It took some explaining to say the least.
You are very observant to notice this as you can't be too careful with sidewall bulges because it can indicate a serious defect resulting in a blowout. I think that most tire stores refrain from even patching on the sidewall (though I've heard it can be done safely) and usually recommend a new tire. That is where your tire "certs" (insurance) can be useful.

Thanks, entheos.
I noticed it on two out of the 5 tires, which is why I decided to post. I figured it had to do something with where the belts joined, and this pretty much confirms it. As you stated, I just don't want a random blowout to happen.
To others, this is not a complaint thread! It's just a concern. I love my H3!!! When I hit the dealer to get the brushguard or cap installed I'll ask just to be certain.
Thanks!
