The stain part was kinda sarcastic. I haven't looked through the warranty yet, but I'm thinkin it better be covered.
My Volvo has almost a quarter million miles on the original core! This must have been a defective piece from the plant. We shall see how the dealer handles it. They had it all day Friday, and the service mgr called to let me know that it would be put back together by late afternoon, but wanted to detail the inside. Will update when I get it back.

Just got back from the dealership...and I have to say that they did an excellent job taking care of the mechanical issue and satisfying me as a customer. All of the replacement was covered. The total was just under 1k,
so don't look forward to doing that outside of warranty. The interior was completely detailed including the carpet and inside the vents as well. It smells better now!
