The scarieist aspect about this obstacle is the troll who lives under the bridge.

Re: May Rausch Creek & Paragon Photos
I get politely envious in threads like this sometimes. i don't think i can find trails and obstacles like this w/o risking getting shot by a local farmer in the wee hours of the morning.
i gotta work on that.
cool thread, i read most of it last night.

Yeah, I missed you guys too.
But glad you had fun. I miss Red Ridge coffee in the morning around the fire. But glad you had fun. I even miss feeling like a dork on night hikes to the potty over the bridge with a head lamp on when the boys get to pee where they want. But glad you had fun. I miss waving orange flags and the sound of ATVs. But glad you had fun. I miss mud, rocks and campfires. But glad you had fun.

Now, wait a minute. I need to get something straight here. Late on Friday night, when Mrs. NJ H2 headed over the bridge to use the facilities, I said to NJ H2 "Good, now I can pee on that tree over there right?" NJ H2 said "If [CP] were here, she'd pee on that tree herself." Are you denying his allegation?

Re: May Rausch Creek & Paragon Photos
Hey All -
The family and I got back last night after a long day on the road. And I have got to say... We had a GREAT time!
The Baltimore OHV Group was a non-factor for the most part. We did see them occasionally and did have a couple of delays, but nothing more than a few minutes.
Despite the carnage , Saturday at Raush Creek was lots of fun. Compared to Paragon it was a lot more pristine. It looked fresh and new and the trails had great variety. I look forward to wheeling here again. One of the coolest things to happen at Rausch Creek was a local couple with a 3-week old H3 met us at the staging area. They didn't know us and we didn't know them but they had heard rumor that we were coming and hung out in the off chance that we would show. I'm pretty sure that they had a great time because they were grinning from ear to ear all day and you could see they had cought the wheeling bug in a big way.
Monday at Paragon had to be the most exciting day, despite it being low key and only having 4 trucks. I was leading for the day and we had just done Hummer Hill and then the Mountain Top trail when we decided to break for lunch near some big rocks that looked good. Well, I guess someone else decided that they looked good too because when Pops, HI and a bunch of the kids started climbing up the rocks a Rattlesnake started buzzing, saying no way, these were his rocks. I was 50 feet away, at least, and could still hear it buzzing away like crazy! Suffice it to say that we did NOT eat lunch on those rocks!
I've got about 4gb of pics to process. Once I do I'll have them up right away.
I'm sorry CP that you and Ken couldn't make it. We really did have a great time. And to everyone else that did come I can only say thanks for joining us. I had a great time and it was great seeing old friends again and getting to meet new friends. I can't wait to see you all again soon!

While I'm processing pics I thought you guys might enjoy this little tidbit.
There was a guy with a Rubicon at the Hotel we were staying at. He must have thought that he was the schiznitz because he had this for a license plate:
