Re: H3 Fuel Can Carrier Mount - install and review
So, you are saying the regional hummer guy works for AM General or the General?

Neither. The way Arizona's distribution works from what I can tell is that the Lund Group (who just happens to own 3 of the 4 Hummer dealers in Arizona) acts also as a port distributor. He works for Lund, and his salary is (or was) paid for by AMG and GM. I think now that the H1 is gone, his $$$ is coming all from GM now. I've known him for 5 years, and like I said, he goes way back to the original AM General dealer network when they established it. He's paid specifically to know the Hummer product line in and out, both mechanically and sales wise. He also test drives pre-production units as well, and is currently given a 2004 H2 to drive as a personal vehicle. He had an 2001 H1 as his personal vehicle for a while, and before that a 98 H1 wagon. Of course, it's nice having a GM Proving Ground test site in the same county as well....he gets to test out all the new toys. He also "teaches" other dealer reps and GM Execs the ins and outs of the vehicles. For example - GM and AMG sent in 2004 a ton of trucks (including the 2004 Optimizer H1 and the then new SUT, along with a pre-production Duramax H1 Alpha) , and he was responsible for teaching GM reps how the trucks perform off road. I helped participate in that, and it was fun. He's also done Moab, sand dunes, Paragon, you name it, he's been there with an H1 or H2. It's a really killer job, IMHO. Whenever he retires, I'd love to take his place. He gets decent money for driving around, going off roading, testing new accessories, and breaking stuff. All in a shirt and tie too - it's hilarious seeing him go around in a mud and dirt covered truck and he's all dressed up.

Works for a distributor and is paid by GM, or is he paid by Ratheon? Just curious, would like to look him up.

Interesting. Considering that my ethnicity isn't of that persuasion, I think you should highly reconsider your choice of descriptive language.

Steve is the person you attempted to slander. Do you hear me talking? We discussed nothing of the sort, besides YOU on the trails is a joke, right? The point of your post is continued confirmation of your inane inability to say what you think. For if you did that, you would be speechless.

Re: H3 Fuel Can Carrier Mount - install and review
AE's are for cowards and bring teh suck. Plain and simple.
Now back to our regularly scheduled thread...
This is a great write up. Thanks for taking the time and for so clearly explaining the product. I don't need something like this now, but if I did this thread would have saved me tons of hassle. Thanks
