can the sensor for the air ride be tricked?

A while back SteveR told me that he and some others put some kind of "spacer" to fool the sensor in thinking it's lower than it is. I don't have air ride, so can't offer more than that

from looking at it you would have to make the rod longer to get it to respond in making it higher. it would effectively push the arm up making it think the vehicle was low

as for shimming the switch you could add washers to the switch on the far side to rotate the body of the switch towards the arm of the switch. I would think one or two small washers could add an inch or two to the ride height

FWIW On the Fabtech lift kit, which is not suitable for air ride H2's with the non adjustable sensor, it uses a bracket with plenty of room for adjustment.

I may well be wrong, but from what I've been told there is adjustment in the air ride on the earlier H2's, although the manual says there is no adjustment. Maybe it is at the other end of the sensor, the part attached to the uppoer control arm.

I will check it out later and see if theres any play to slid the sensor with the bolts loosened up. It always adjusts apon startup, so I think the hieght difference bewteen our rigs was.
