Re: Electric Trailer Brakes ???
I found info that says a vehicle without the TP2 auxillary battery needs a
40 A fuse in the ( stud#1 ) location in the under hood fuse box.
( note: this fuse is not needed if you have 2 batteries )
I will check on trailer today and let you know.
Thank you for your time and your help in troubleshooting my problem.

Craig,
I hope it's that simple. But I'm not sure that it is. That would be the power supply to the brakes. If you are getting braking upon moving the slider, then you have power. Stud 1 doesn't have anything to do with receiving voltage from the vehicle's brakes.
I think someone else just last week or so had a similar problem but they were not getting any response back out to the brakes and it was because there was no fuse at stud 1.
Re: Electric Trailer Brakes ???
Right you are. There is NO difference with the fuse added.
The controller has a light that lights when I use manually but does not light
when I push on brake pedel???

Re: Electric Trailer Brakes ???
Well I have an 06 so that might be the problem!
What did you have to do to make the fix ?
Thanks

Re: Electric Trailer Brakes ???
You need to figure out which wire coming out of the Brake controller is the wire for the Brake feed. That wire needs to match with, IIRC, a light blue wire.
Re: Electric Trailer Brakes ???
Well crap !
I'll see if I can determin which wire.
