Go on the last day of the month after 5pm if you know what you want. Make sure you are ready to buy at that time. I did something simular. I found the truck I wanted on Yahoo shopping and it was a new GMC. I found out who had it and where. went and checked it out. it had a sticker of $38,606 back in `01. so I asked the guy if they had any deals on it because it was now `02 he said they would sell it for $33,799. I said I would ask my wife what she thought. I went out and walked around it again and as I did I opened the door and looked at the manufacture date. the truck was 10 months old. I used that to get the deal. I went back in and told the guy I would give him$31,000 out the door. he took it to his sales manager and he came back with $31,800. I said I would go $31,500 but no higher. they settled and I got the truck.
when you take off tax & title it was more like $29,640 if I remember right.
