The local Line-X dealer here told me the same thing. She did say however, in order for it to work, she would have to "encase" the grill. If they completely coat it all around it will work.

Did Neocon have to do that?

with the Line-X grill meeting the hood it just looked better with both the same. It was pretty clear against the yellow paint.

HummBebe gets some free beer for good taste.

As for encasing the grill.. they did that to both parts.

That's what they did on mine too. Haven't had any problems with it.
