Around the 5000 mile mark I will be switching to Synthetic Oil. What Brand/viscosity Synthetic oil are you using?

I use Redline 5/30 which I used in my Turbo Volvo with great results.

I also installed a spring-loaded ball type drain valve in place of the drain plug. It's Made by Fram and works great. Just twist in the hose and it starts to drain.

I used to wrench quite a bit thanks to my Dad being a Snap-On Tools dealer. We had a great shop including an in-ground hydralic hoist, solvent tanks, a bead blaster, pneumatic tools, presses, lathes, etc. Spoiled I was.

Needles to say, I still prefer to change my own oil because at $7.00/quart, I want to make sure it makes it into my engine and not elsewhere.

I use Mobile"1" 5w-30 in all my cars and trucks. You may want to wait till around 8K to 10K miles until you use synthetic, all the moving engine parts must "seat" or break-in before use. I waited till 8K on my H2. BIG-C
