Actually, this ICE warning is due to the possible formation of "black ice," which can actually form on the roads when temps are a few degrees higher than freezing (32 degrees F.). In some areas, terrain, shade and wind can allow the roadway to freeze, even if the temps are as high as 37 degrees.
I guess the best people to explain this would be those who live in the mountains. I know that when I was in CO back in the 60s, I hit a patch of ice on a road when it was about 40 degrees outside.

could be comming on to tell you that there is a Vanillla ICE song on the radio. Maybe its a warning that you should stop, Collaborate and listen Ice is back with my brand new invention. Something grabs a hold of me tightly. Then I flow like a harpoon daily and nightly. Will it ever stop? Yo -- I don't know Turn off the lights and I'll glow.
