Re: Ken...found something for you :)
Oh, so this isnt really even an "original" slantback??? I thought it was.
My bad. Guess "It is one of ONLY 39 manufactured in the world!!!! " is a bit misleading
Sorry all for the confusion.

No, it's a factory slantback. Notice how the tailgate piece is integrated into the hatch?
The Calgold models use the existing tailgate from the truck.

Re: Ken...found something for you :)
WOW, KBB only gives a private party value in excelent condition of $44.8K.
Guess that doesnt take into account the rareness of the vehicle though.

Re: Ken...found something for you :)
I think Phil was just using the Calgold as an example since it's very similar in design. But I'll give you credit for at least thinking it was a factory slant at first.
I don't know how valuable they will stay/become. There has to be a market in which they are coveted in order for the value to be there. I'm not sure how big that market is or will become.

If my memory serves me correctly California Gold manufactured AMG's factory SB shells.

DAMN
'04 below $60K??? That's too bad. Over 50% depreciation in 2 years.
