It's not bad unless they've cranked it up in the past couple years. Like $25 USD. Like I said, I never bothered with the ticket, not because it was a cheap one, rather because it's so petty and I would run without a front plate, given a choice. It was just a good excuse to pull someone over... like a dead headlight or giving me the finger.

Re: Who's Got A................
I'm planning on putting a winch up there and there ain't gonna be no front plate. We have the law on the book, but it isn't enforced everywhere, except by State Troopers.
I agree that they mess up the look of a cool ride.

Any infraction on the NJ Turnpike can be very costly.

Re: Who's Got A................
If you'll recall, the NJSP had a problem a few years back that was the source of the buzzword, "racial profiling". Apparently, there was a little known state law against driving while non-caucasian. As I remember it, the penalty in one landmark case was about 40 rounds. I think some things have changed under their new leadership, but they're still very strict when it comes to enforcing traffic laws. I don't mind that though...Have you ever driven in NJ? I live in Pennsylvania, but travel to NJ fairly often and I'm sure glad those guys are out there!
