I have the automatic. Same symptoms thought... I plan to look at a few things today, but very carefully. Don't want to give the dealer a reason to say I did it.

Had the same problem. In my case the molex connector on the harness between the door and the dash came apart. Dealer had to remove door panel replace connector and fix the mounting.

Had same problem on an 04 colorado dealer took door part unplug connector from window switches etc. then plug it back in 10 min later. temporary fix. said they would have to replace the switch module. Also found that if i thumped the outside of the door good and hard a couple of times it would start working.
