(5) At 30 days - Talk about how you wish you could go, but can't
(6) At 7 days - Come up with a new conflict. Say you actually planned to go until this new thing just came up.
(7) At 0 days - Don't show up.
(8) At -10 days - Say how sad you were that you didn't show up, but "will be there next time".
