Re: CHILI COOK OFF
I used several different kinds of meat. Tips, sausage links, coarsly ground sausage, brats, chicken, pork roast cubed.
Chili powder, tomato paste, tomato sauce, onions, garlic and bay leaves.
No beans.
A jar of "Mole' " sauce cooked separately and seasoned to taste (that's a secret I will only share with my best friends).
Add the Sauce and stew for about 2 hours. Serve with homemade tortillas, (another secret I will only share with my best friends).

Chipolte Chiles (dried).

Umm, I think you just shared it with EVERYONE! Oh, wait, I see the PM!
I only use meat too. I don't like the beans in it, but RYD scared me in his first post and I backed off. It won't happen again....

Re: CHILI COOK OFF
Like it with both ground sirloin & turkey. Plenty of light and dark beans with lots of hot stuff. Wifes the chef I test with red wine. Ummh Good!!

Re: CHILI COOK OFF
Okay, I went and got several different kinds of peppers and I'm using them all. I think I can do this without any 4 alarm phone calls.
2 or 3 jalapenos (seeded)
1 habanero (seeded)
2 pablano (instead of green pepper)
diced green chillis (adds sweetness)
2 or 3 Anaheim peppers
3 seranno peppers ( not as hot as jalapenos)
1 yellow pepper
1 lg onion
garlic
1/2 fresh squeezed lime
6 or so diced tomatoes, or I'll add some cans
A dash or two of chili powder
mexican oregano
1 lb ground beef
1 lb ground pork
cilantro to garnish
MMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmMMM! It's only 9am. Is that too early for a Pacifico with lime?

Can I please post the pic of your face when you ate the Habenero?
cry laugh drink of beer cry some more laugh about it drink some more beer, maybe pop in a piece of bread. gulg glug glug. PHEW! Eat more Habanero and start all over. You're going to be sorry....
What a Hoot! Thanks for coming out! My face is sore from laughing so much.
BTW, I'm making more chili today because I still have a billion peppers to use, and I don't want to freeze them. I have a request for beef tips in it this time.
