Re: SUV or SUT
It really isn't a matter of which was easier. Each had their niche. Avalanche's bed area was a lot more usable then the sut's would be. Excursion just had it's size. Sometimes good others bad. At least it was a diesel

Re: SUV or SUT
Also it seems from looking at pics of lifted h2's the sut's look a little nicer and more level.

Re: SUV or SUT
I like the way the SUTs look a little better than the SUVs, but the SUV is more practical for me when I go on camping trips where I can stack four big rigid plastic tubs in the back and have everything I may possible need for a long trip inside the vehicle. I like that better than stacking it on top the roof, but, even if I did that, the roof rack on the SUV is bigger. I also like the fact that I have the third-row seat, though I admit I've never used it yet. If you need to haul a lot of dirt or rocks, the SUT would be better. I was thinking of getting a little trailer for that kind of think and just keeping it in the backyard.

Re: SUV or SUT
Thanx for the replies. I agree with C O T, either way i have an H2. If I went with the SUT it wouldn't be because I needed a small truck bed area. Have a trailer or can always borrow a truck. I guess maybe it just comes down to looks. I am going to buy black and the nicest lifted black ones I have seen so far have been SUT's. I guess however if I am not in need of the bed I should go SUV and take advantage of the interior space.

Re: SUV or SUT
Both my father and I came out of Avalanches into the hummers. I got the 06SUV and he got the 06SUT. He wanted the truck bed since he like to haul stuff like dog food and chicken food. I have a sierra pickup also so i didnt need the truck bed and the SUV is one heck of alot more convenient when travelling. Looks like i like both, my wife doesnt like the looks of the SUT.
