But anyways, guys, theres hundreds of posts on this already. Although the bigger engine will be doing the work easier it will still be doing the same work, more or less, as whatever other engine you put in it. And since you are just changing the engine and not aero or friction then there is no way the milage will drop, except if you put a less efficient engine in, which i doubt. Work is basically what equates to how much gas it will consule, not how much noise its making.

And usetosellhummer hummer said it rite, it can only go up. but I kind of think it will most likely stay the same, because of teh little increase in weight (assume there will be some increase) from teh larger engine, and increase in weight from beefing up the powertrain, which i assume they will do if its weak, so i figure thats gona require a little more work which might be offset by a dispalcemnt on demand engine(if they put one of those in). so either pretty much the same or maybe just maybe an increase.

Also ..you must consider..How many of us want a V-8..?? I'm happy with the I-5 and it's low end power. Of course I wish I had a tad bit more for passing ,but all in all I'm happy with the I-5. My driving situation is local with minimal high way usage. Maybe if it was all hi speed high way it would be a different story.

So..this brings up an interesting Question. How many of you would trade and or upgrade just for a V-8?

I'd stay right where I'm at with my 07 I-5 3.7.
