Hybrids for the most part do not have huge gains in gas mileage over their gas-powered counterparts. There is also a premium to buy a hybrid and there is a large chance that the premium will not be offset by the time you get rid of the car. According to Demorro, "It takes five years to offset the premium price of a Prius. Meaning, you have to wait 60 months to save any money over a non-hybrid car because of lower gas expenses." Then there are the issues with the batteries and their effect on the environment.

I'm thinking about printing a bunch of these out and handing them to all the arsholes that are always yapping about how irresponsible it is to drive a Hummer.
