Re: V8 a reality.
I love it. "I could care less what you think... but here's what I think of what you sad over and over and over again!!!!" Ad nauseum. Quite amusing.
Once more, with emphasis. This thread was not about what I think or what I saw. This thread is about what this sales manager, that until this week was MORE cynical than anyone on this forum is about a V8 coming out, KNOWS about it coming out. That's all, sum total, period.
My reaction to his enthusiasm is that after hearing him put the kabosh on the V8 hope for so long, I believe him. I believe him more than anyone here. All I can say to the folks that don't want to think it's coming for the '08 model year is why, for the love of Pete, are you so adamant about this? Were you the kind of kid that when your buddy said "The ice cream man is coming, the ice cream man is coming" you said "Nuh uh"? Only to miss out on the joy of anticipation of a treat because you didn't have time to go harange ma for a quarter?
F5, I really appreciate your postings, they've helped a lot of people on here more than any service manager that I've met. I think you're wrong on this one. I think Hummer's in for another good year of sales because maybe they're listening. No, you can't order one now, and that's not what I said.
Hope, it's the good stuff. I can't wait to drive my pink H3 Alpha!

Did I EVER say there will be NO V8? The point I'm trying to make is that for months, there have been more threads on the future V8, than there have been on the Cylinder head issue. In each of these threads there have been those who believe, those who do not believe, and those who can't say YES or NO.
Just wait until April, and we will find out if the manager is right or wrong. Believe me, I know the answer, but I just can't say what it is.

F5 is right. If anyone in the know says and or shows anything on future models until GM is ready for this information to come out, can be held accountable for their actions. For example, the new high performance Corvette was leaked out from the inside. GM found the leak and what I've heard the person was punnished. I for one, don't want anyone breathing down my neck for something like this. Again , we'll see what's available by May.

Re: V8 a reality.
A V8 would be interesting, I just wonder if the drivetrain and fron end will be beefed to match? i would hate to see GM just drop in a V8 and not be able to use it.
How about ya solid axle swap?

Re: V8 a reality.
If the V-8 ends up in the mid 40's, I'll just buy an H2 SUT, what I should have bought in the first place until the Mrs. got involved in the purchase.

I like the look of the SUT, I just wish they'd come out with an extracab with a longer bed on it to make it useful. Hell, my quad's 7'10" long! (that and that whole gas mileage thing) The H3's a real pleasure to drive in town, super tight turning radius and all that. My Sierra however, is not. We have a Denali and it's not going anywhere so the V8 H3 will be our next vehicle.

Re: V8 a reality.
I'm just curious as to why they didn't design or even consider the H3 SUT, considering they are available in the H1 & H2. I know there wouldn't be much room back there, but hell there isn't in the H2 either.

Fixed. I guess that means that I'd get mine first then, huh?
